Bill Eshelman

Artist

Close

Bill grew up in Arkansas and Maryland, graduated from the US Naval Academy and then spent most of his life as a Marine. After retiring on the Gulf Coast, he became interested in painting after attending a local watercolor class.

Since then he has attended many workshops, given by both locally and nationally known artists to include Thomas Owen, Joe Bohler, Steve Rogers, John Salminen, and Mike Mehaffey. Each one has helped to broaden Bill's ability to paint in watercolors and acrylics. His subjects vary from realistic sea and landscapes to non-objective and abstract designs, and have been shown in local Alabama and Florida Art galleries and have won several awards.Through out this new venture in life, Bill has enjoyed trying to" capture the moment” in each of his paintings, as well as passing along what he has learned to others, especially those just beginning to paint.
