Currently working on drawings and paintings based on photos from the Afghanistan conflict. As a former Marine I am more than interested in how much this war is being presented to the general public. Having spent the last year studying, reading, watching, listening to the reports, I still have no clear direction as to what we can do there or if we should be there, but i am sure we will continue to send our kids there. The work attempts to get closer to some of the characters who are involved. I just want more people to stay tuned. It is an enormous cost and an impossible task. My brief, safe, virtual contact with

those who are risking so much and my observations of the activities of the good and the bad may just cause more to think about where this can take us as a country.
